As part of Lynn University’s Sustainable Fashion Showcase, I played an active role in coordinating the people, designers, garments, and behind-the-scenes details required to bring a large-scale runway production to life. My responsibilities spanned vendor communication, model coordination, backstage production, garment organization, and presentation development, giving me hands-on experience across multiple stages of fashion show execution.

Working with a project partner, I managed communications with Aquamala Swimwear, coordinated the brand’s participation, and ensured its needs were effectively incorporated into the production process. I also supported model casting and backstage operations, organizing individual looks and garment assignments to ensure models, outfits, and runway sequences were prepared for show execution.

My involvement extended beyond the classroom through my internship with designer Amanda Perna, whose work was featured in the showcase. Working closely with Amanda, I supported the organization and management of her luxury pieces and assisted in developing a featured dress made from recycled fabric, directly connecting the showcase’s sustainability mission to the designer’s creative process.

To support production planning and alignment, I also collaborated with Amanda to develop visual presentations detailing model selections and outfit assortments. I presented these materials to my peers, helping communicate the designer’s vision and translate creative direction into an organized plan for runway execution.

This experience strengthened my ability to balance creative vision with organization, communication, and execution while collaborating across designers, vendors, models, and a student production team.
